It’s an interesting time to visit.
Some of the historically popular tourist sites are openly hostile to tourists. I always prefer less touristy places and in recent visits to San Sebastián and to Valencia, there was only friendly and hospitable welcomes
As with all places, a few courteous words goes a long way in raising a smile and achieving the desired outcome
